Some mean dude who’s screen name I will keep to myself posted a very mean comment on gocomics the other day:
“It’s been a slice, somebody holler if this ever gets funny or worthwhile”
This on the day Haiku Ewe bumps into a snake. But still, I’m a cartoonist. And when you prick a cartoonist, does she not bleed? The answer is yes! Verily I say YES!
So, my head is all messed up. Perhaps this guy is right and several thousand fans, a large syndicate and a cartoonist are the ones who are wrong.
Do bankers go through this? I wish I’d gone into banking.

Maybe he’s a neurosurgeon with Doctors without Borders and spends his days making really significant contributions to mankind so he doesn’t see the humor in life’s little quirks. Or he could be a bitter middle-age man going through a mid-life crisis because he lost his job and his gold-digger girlfriend just left him, but he’s still getting bills from the divorce attorney and calls from the ex-wife in his ex-house that his child-support payments are late. Or maybe he’s just a loser who thinks The Wizard of Id is funny. Who cares about 1 unimpressed idiot when you have 20,000 fans?
